Participated d. Bader Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, today, Friday, at an expanded meeting of the Arab -Islamic Ministerial Committee on Gaza with Russia, China, the European Union, Ireland, Norway, Slovenia and Spain, on the sidelines of his participation in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
Minister Abdel -Ati stressed the priority of the ceasefire and working to sustain the January 19, 2025 agreement, as well as the importance of starting the implementation of the second phase of the agreement. He also dealt with the Arab-Islamic plan for reconstruction and the early recovery and reconstruction conference to be held in Egypt, which will focus on implementing the plan that was adopted in the Arab and Islamic and from other international parties.
Minister Abdel -Ati was keen to review Egypt’s vision of ways to make the conference a success and workshops emanating from it, including the focus on the role of the private sector and financing mechanisms, as well as the political part related to dealing with the issues of governance and security in Gaza as training the Palestinian police to re -publish them in the sector.
The meeting dealt with the importance of enabling the Gaza Affairs Management Committee to preserve the unity between the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, highlighting the priority enjoyed by the early recovery process to resume vital services in the sector and preserve the right of the Palestinians to stay on their soil. The importance of the two -state solution conference to be held in New York next June was also emphasized headed by a joint presidency of France and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to work to create the political horizon to implement the two -state solution in a way that contributes to achieving security and stability in the region.
