Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam stressed that the government is continuing to implement the reform program and approve the financial laws that allow Lebanon to reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
Salam stressed during his meeting today a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, headed by the deputy head of the bank, Matteo Patron, that reforms are an essential interest for Lebanon and the Lebanese to put the state on the path of development.

For its part, the delegation expressed the bank’s readiness to support and assist Lebanon, as soon as the required reforms were completed and signed the agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
On the other hand, President Salam received the United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Jenin Hennis -Blaskart, and the developments of the political situation and developments related to the implementation of Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement were discussed.
The Prime Minister also met the Ambassador of Norway in Lebanon, Hilde Harradad, and bilateral relations and conditions in Lebanon and the region were reviewed.
