Bin Ghafir said in an interview with the Israeli newspaper “Maariv”, on Friday morning, that cutting electricity and bombing food stores is to exert more pressure on Hamas in order to release the Israeli detainees in Gaza.
Bin Ghafir pointed out that “the interest of Hamas in preserving the hostages and returning them to the home, we must submit to our control,” calling on Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, not to release the Palestinian prisoners.
The Israeli Defense Minister, Yisrael Katz, said earlier that “Israel is now closer to implementing a deal,” stressing that if this deal is not carried out, the military operation in Gaza will expand.
