The launch of an emergency course for the Economic and Social Council at the Arab League – the seventh day

The work of an extraordinary session of the Economic and Social Council of the League of Arab States was launched today, Sunday, as it will be held at the level of senior officials in preparation for its holding tomorrow, Monday at the ministerial level at the presidency of Bahrain, in order to study and prepare the project of the agenda of the economic and social file of the Council of Arab States at the summit level (34).

For its part, the Assistant Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, said that the agenda project includes a number of initiatives and development, economic and social projects presented by the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, which serves the Arab citizen, including the comprehensive development plan for the technical and vocational education system in the Arab countries, the portal of development, the strategic framework and the executive work plan for the regional program for economic and social empowerment for Arab women And sustainable financing in the Arab region.

For his part, Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al -Maliki, Assistant Secretary -General, Head of the Economic Affairs Sector, said in a similar statement, that the agenda project includes a number of issues within the economic aspects of the economic and social file of the two bases, foremost of which is the report of the Secretary -General on the joint Arab economic and social development work, the progress made in completing the requirements of the Great Arab Free Trade Zone, the establishment of the Arab Customs Union and the executive plan of the Arab Strategy for Water Security in the Arab region To face the challenges and future requirements for sustainable development (2030) – (updated) and the Initiative of the Secretary -General of the Arab States under the title: The Arab Initiative of Artificial Intelligence towards technological leadership and sustainable development and clause on the Arab Food Security Strategy 2025-2035.

Al -Maliki added that the agenda project includes a number of initiatives and proposals submitted by some Arab countries, including the initiative of President Mohamed Ould Sheikh Al -Ghazwani, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, on the blue economy as a way to solve the problem of food and energy in the Arab world.
