Lazarini: The resumption of the war on Gaza around it into a land where there is no place for children – the seventh day

The UN Commissioner for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) Philip Lazarini said that it is a snare that small souls in Gaza are lost in a war that is not made of children. He pointed out that the resumption of war robbed them again of their childhood, and turned Gaza into a land where there is no place for children. He said, “It is a stigma on our common humanity.”

Lazarini added, according to the United Nations Media Center- that the ceasefire at the beginning of the year gave an opportunity for Gaza children to survive, and to live their childhood.

He stressed that there is no justification for killing children, wherever they are, calling for the ceasefire now.

For its part, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that thousands of families fled in the west in the Gaza Strip in the wake of another displacement issued by the Israeli forces covering parts of Gaza City.

The UN office warned that these displacement orders have offered civilians to hostile actions and denied them to reach the basic services necessary for their survival. (Ocha) recalled that all crossings are still closed, which is the matter that entered its second month, and therefore no supplies can be introduced to the sector. The World Food Program warned that the food stock in Gaza is to exist, and that the assistance programs it runs gradually closed.

(Ocha) pointed out that the sanitation situation is likely to deteriorate throughout Gaza to threaten public health. He added that three temporary displacement sites in the Al -Mawsa area are now reported by fleas and mites that cause skin rashes and other health problems.

He pointed out that the treatment of these injuries requires chemicals and other substances that will not be available until after the reopening of the crossings to enter the supplies. The office also warned of the increasing work of criminal looting and public insecurity, related to closure and the lack of basic supplies.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that tens of thousands of people are still displaced and unable to return to their homes due to the ongoing operations launched by the Israeli forces in the northern West Bank, especially in Jenin and Tulkarm. He explained that the humanitarian partners provide urgent assistance and psychological and social support to those affected.
