Bahrain stresses the necessity of Asian, Islamic and African parliamentary coordination to support the Palestinian issue – the seventh day

The Kingdom of Bahrain stressed the necessity of coordination, cooperation and consensus between the Asian, Islamic and African parliamentary groups to ensure a unified position on the Palestinian issue, stressing the importance of stopping the continuous attacks on the Gaza Strip, and seeking to ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid urgently.

This came during the participation of the delegation of the Parliamentary Division of Bahrain, headed by the First Vice -President of the Bahraini Shura Council, Jamal Mohamed Fakhro, in the two coordinating meetings of the Asian Parliamentary Group and the Islamic Parliamentary Group, which were held today / Saturday in the city of Tashkent in Uzbekistan, on the sidelines of the 150th General Assembly of the International Parliamentary Union and accompanying meetings, according to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

During the two meetings, representatives of Asian and Islamic parliaments discussed the items listed on the agenda of the General Assembly, where views were exchanged on ways to deal with the current challenges, especially with regard to supporting the Palestinian issue and stopping the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Fakhro expressed the support of the Bahraini Parliamentary Division for the emergency item related to the support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, noting the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between Asian and Islamic countries, and the need to continue joint efforts to support issues of common concern, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue.

He praised the keenness of parliaments in the Asian parliamentary group and the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to coordinate positions and unify visions to face regional challenges and enhance development paths in member states, as well as in close cooperation between Asian and Islamic parliaments, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and joint work in international parliamentary forums, in a way that enhances the positions of Asian and Islamic countries towards various issues, especially with regard to humanitarian crises And the development facing the peoples of the region.
