Al -Quds Governorate: 5 martyrs and 239 cases of detention during the first quarter of this year – the seventh day

In a report today, Saturday, the violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the province monitored during the first quarter of this year.

According to the Palestinian News Agency, violations were focused on brutal execution, arrests, actual confinement decisions, demolitions, evacuation, deportation and home imprisonment, in addition to the daily incursions of the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque.

Martyrs:

In its report, Al -Quds Governorate documented the death of 5 citizens during the first quarter of this year, as a result of the various occupation forces’ attacks.

And the martyrs are:

1- The boy, Adam, Sab, Laban, 18, was martyred on January 26, as a result of the occupation soldiers fired at the Qalandia Military checkpoint, north of Jerusalem.

2- The worker, Raafat Abdel Aziz Abdullah Hammad, 35, was martyred on March 12, after he fell from the fifth floor while chasing by the occupation forces in one of the construction workshops in occupied Jerusalem.

3- The worker Maher Abdel Salam Sarsour, from the village of Sarka, west of Salfit, was martyred on March 15, during his pursuit by the Israeli occupation forces

4- The liberated prisoner, Kazem Zawahra, was martyred on March 18, as a result of his wounds, which he sustained by the Israeli occupation bullets on February 22, 2024, on the leader of the leader, east of Jerusalem.

5- The citizen Muhammad Hassan Hosni Abu Hammad (41 years old), and was martyred on March 25, after the Israeli occupation police fired on him near the town of Al-Eizariya, east of Jerusalem.

The martyrs detained their bodies:

During the first quarter of this year, the Israeli occupation army detained the body of the martyr Al -Maqdisi Muhammad Hassan Hosni Abu Hammad, 41, bringing the number of the bodies of the Jerusalemites of the Jerusalemites detained in the occupation refrigerators and the tombs of the numbers until the end of last March (46).

Colonial attacks:

Al -Quds Governorate (33) documented an attack by the colonists, including one by physical abuse, which reflects a dangerous escalation in their attacks on Palestinian citizens, their properties and their sanctities, all of which were carried out under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.

Injury:

In its report, the governorate monitored 33 injuries among the Jerusalem citizens as a result of the firing of lively and nomadic mineral bullets, and severe beating, in addition to cases of suffocation with poisonous, tear gas.

Thousands of colonists stormed Al -Aqsa

(13,064) colonies of the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque stormed during the first quarter of this year, by protecting the occupation forces, in addition to (12,134) others under the cover of “tourism”, carried out provocative tours, and performed Talmudic rituals in separate areas of Al -Aqsa, in a direct violation of the sanctity of the holy place.

The occupation forces escalated targeting the worshipers with unprecedented repressive means, which were to prevent the observance of worshipers on Friday and Saturday nights during the month of Ramadan, although this was allowed during the past years, and stormed Al -Aqsa by force, and forced the retreating to leave at gunpoint.

During the month of Ramadan, the escalation was to impose a strict military siege on the Al -Aqsa Mosque, through three security holes: the first around the city of Jerusalem, the second around the Old City, and the third at the gates of the Al -Aqsa Mosque, which led to a significant reduction in the numbers of worshipers compared to previous years.

The occupation authorities also imposed restrictions on the introduction of suhoor and breakfast meals, and launched inspection patrols inside the mosque in an attempt to blur the atmosphere of the holy month.

Targeting Jerusalem characters:

The city of Jerusalem witnessed an escalation in targeting the prominent Palestinian figures by the Israeli occupation authorities, as it affected a series of decisions and attacks, the most prominent political and religious figures in the city.

The occupation authorities, the governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, handed over a decision to prevent him from entering the West Bank for a period of six months, in a move aimed at reducing his political and administrative moves.

The occupation police also summoned the secretary of the “Fatah” movement in Jerusalem, Shadi Mattour, for investigation, and handed him a decision to extend his prevention from entering the West Bank.

The occupation stormed the house of the head of the Higher Islamic Authority, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, in the Al -Sweana neighborhood of Jerusalem, and his family handed over a decision to renew his removal from the Al -Aqsa Mosque, despite his travel outside Palestine during that period.

Arrests:

During the first quarter of this year, Al -Quds Governorate recorded the arrest of (239) Jerusalemites, including (22) women and (18) children.

The decisions of the occupation courts against the detainees:

Actual prison:

Al -Quds Governorate has monitored the issuance of the occupation courts (73), an actual prison sentence against Jerusalemites detainees during the first quarter of this year, including (32) as a ruling of administrative detention, that is, without specifying a charge, as these provisions reflect the escalation policy of targeting the detainees.

Home imprisonment:

In the first quarter of 2025, Al -Quds Governorate monitored the issuance of the occupation authorities (27) decisions of home imprisonment.

Detaire:

The occupation authorities issued (86) decisions to deport against Jerusalemites, and these decisions included (57) decisions to deport from the blessed Al -Aqsa Mosque, and a large number of liberated detainees, journalists and activists, including a number of those who were deported outside Palestine, were targeted.

Banning of travel:

The occupation invokes security reasons to prevent Palestinians from traveling, especially in occupied Jerusalem, and during the first quarter of the year 2025, the occupation authorities issued two decisions to prevent travel.

Demolition, bulldozing and seizure operations:

The occupation authorities carried out (91) demolition and bulldozing operation, which included (26) forced self -demolition, during which the Jerusalemites were forced to demolish their homes to avoid fines, and (53) demolitions carried out by the occupation mechanisms by force, in addition to (12) bulldozing operations, targeting Palestinian lands and streets, under the pretext of unlicensed construction, at a time when strict restrictions are imposed on obtaining construction licenses, It makes it almost impossible for the sacred.

Surfaces for demolishing, evacuating and seizing lands:

Al -Quds Governorate (53) monitored a violation, which included (19) notification of demolition, (31) cases of seizure of lands, and (3) evacuation notifications.

Violations against Jerusalem institutions

The occupied Jerusalem Governorate witnessed a serious escalation in the violations of the Israeli occupation, which targeted various sectors and societal components, and these violations focused on educational institutions, media sectors, and humanitarian centers, as well as continuous attacks on Islamic sanctities.

One of the most prominent features of this escalation was the targeting of Palestinian educational institutions and curricula, and the occupation also escalated its attacks against journalists and the media, and the attacks also affected humanitarian and international institutions, especially the Relief and Works Agency for the Palestinian Refugees “UNRWA”, as the occupation forces stormed the agency’s headquarters, closed its schools, and removed their slogans.

The colonial incursions that affected the cemetery of the Islamic children in Silwan south Al -Aqsa, where the occupation uprooted its wall, and commented a banner preventing the burial on the pretext that it is a public area belonging to the so -called “National Park”.

Targeting libraries: The occupied city of Jerusalem witnessed a dangerous escalation by the occupation authorities, targeting the systematic libraries, in a clear attempt to obscure the Palestinian national identity.

Colonial projects:

During the first quarter of this year, the occupation authorities approved (3) new colonial projects, and began work on two projects that were previously approved, in addition to completing the work in a previous project.

Since the occupation of the east of the occupied city of Jerusalem in 1967, the occupation authorities have sought through several laws and procedures on the ground to change the demographic situation in the city, and through it it succeeded in raising the number of colonists in the east of the city from zero in that year to 230 thousand to the present day, and the occupation seeks to add 150 thousand by achieving the dream of “Greater Jerusalem”.

The “Greater Jerusalem” project is considered one of the most dangerous colonial projects that threaten Jerusalem, and the talk is about 3 huge blocs, “Gush Etzion”, which includes 14 colonies in the southwest of Jerusalem, and the “Ma’ali Adumim” bloc, which includes 8 colonies extending from east of Jerusalem to the Jordan Valley, in addition to the “Jaftat Zayef” bloc, which includes 5 colonies, and is located in the northwestern part of Jerusalem.

Through this project, the occupation wants to uproot 150,000 sacred people who enjoy the right to reside in the city, but they live behind the separation wall, and it is working to replace 150,000 colonists in their place in order to resolve the demography in the city for the benefit of the colonists so that their percentage in the city is 88% compared to 12% of Palestinians, and the proportion of Arabs in the Holy City is now 39% compared to 61% of the percentage of colonists.
