This came during the meeting of King Abdullah II today, Thursday, with German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, where they held talks that dealt with the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the serious escalation in the West Bank.

King Abdullah II stressed the necessity of stopping the Israeli war on the sector immediately, calling on the international community to take immediate measures to alleviate the human tragedy, noting the need to restore the ceasefire and resume the entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza, explaining that the attacks on Islamic and Christian sanctities in Jerusalem increase tension and undermine peace opportunities, pointing out that the only way for peace in the region is through the two -state solution that guarantees security and peace to all parties.
On the situation in Syria, King Abdullah II stressed the need to support Syria’s efforts to preserve its security and stability, stressing that Syria’s stability is an integral part of the stability of the entire region.
On the Jordanian -German relations, the two sides stressed the strengthening of the strong partnership between Jordan and Germany in various fields.
King Abdullah II expressed his happiness at launching the World Disability Summit organized by Jordan and Germany in partnership with the International Coalition for Disability, stressing that the summit reflects the commitment of the two countries to enhance the rights of persons with disabilities, while looking to build on its outputs.
The meeting also touched, according to the statement of the Royal Court today, to future areas of cooperation in several sectors, such as industry, trade, technology, and energy.
King Abdullah II praised the support that Germany provides to Jordan in the fields of technical education and vocational training, in addition to its help in modernizing the public sector.
The Jordanian monarch also thanked Germany for its continuous support to Jordan in providing basic services for Syrian refugees.
At the end of the meeting, the Jordanian monarch thanked Chancellor Schultz for his permanent friendship with Jordan, and praised his continuous efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
