The Syrian Foreign Ministry: almost complete destruction of Hama Military Airport – the seventh day

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the Israeli raids, which targeted 5 different regions across the country. She said in her statement: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the Syrian Arab Republic condemns the strongest expressions of the recent Israeli aggression against Syria. In a blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic, the Israeli forces launched air strikes on five different regions across the country within 30 minutes, which resulted in the almost complete destruction of Hama Military Airport and the injury of dozens of civilians and military personnel.”

The Syrian Foreign Ministry considered that “this unjustified escalation constitutes a deliberate attempt to destabilize Syria and prolong the suffering of its people.”

The ministry added in its statement: “At a time when Syria is seeking reconstruction after 14 years of war, these repeated attacks come in the context of a clear Israeli attempt to normalize violence again within the country, which undermines recovery efforts and enshrines the policy of impunity.”

Syria called on the international community to take a firm position and pressure Israel to stop its aggression and adhere to international law and its pledges under the 1974 forces separation agreement.

It urged the United Nations and all the relevant international bodies to take immediate measures to stop this escalation and prevent more violations.

Yesterday, Wednesday, Israel launched a series of large raids on the cities of Damascus, Homs and Hama in Syria targeting military facilities.

Local Syrian media reported that the Israeli aircraft launched a raid on the scientific research building in the Barza District in Damascus.

Israeli planes attacked Hama airport in the vicinity of the city more than 15 times. The airport is a base that belongs to the Syrian Air Force during the era of the previous regime.

The Israeli warplanes also launched a series of raids at the T4 military airport near Palmyra in the eastern Homs countryside.
