The Jordanian monarch and the Iranian president discuss developments in the region – the seventh day

On Wednesday, King Abdullah II received a phone call from Iranian President Masoud Bouchakian, according to the Jordanian news agency “Petra”. The Jordanian Agency stated that the communication “dealt with bilateral relations and all regional developments.”

The Iranian “Tasnim” agency indicated that the Iranian President “expressed concern about the violation of the ceasefire and the resumption of brutal crimes committed by the Zionist entity against defenseless civilians in Gaza, and condemned the statements related to the future of Gaza, including the forced displacement of its residents.”

He pointed out that “the continued communication of the foreign ministers of the two countries will contribute to the convergence of Iran and Jordan’s positions on various issues, especially the support of the Gaza people. He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to strengthening relations and expanding cooperation with Jordan.”

The Iranian agency added that “the Jordanian king expressed his happiness at the continuous development of relations between the two countries, noting that he assigned the Jordanian Foreign Minister to enhance contacts and consultations with his Iranian counterpart with the aim of expanding and deepening relations between the two sides.”

King Abdullah also expressed his hope “to hold a direct meeting soon with the President Bouchakian to discuss ways to enhance bilateral relations and coordinate efforts on regional challenges.”
