Jordan condemns the expansion of Israel on its aggression on Gaza and targeting UNRWA clinic in Jabalia – the seventh day

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs condemned the strongest expressions of Israel expanding its aggression against the Gaza Strip, and targeting a clinic affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, which resulted in the upgrading of more than 19 people, including children and dozens of wounded, a scandalous violation of international international law and international humanitarian law, especially the Geneva Convention regarding the protection of civilians in War time of 1949.

The spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al -Qudah, confirmed – in a statement today, Wednesday – the kingdom’s absolute rejection of and its condemnation of the curriculum campaign aimed at the work of UNRWA in the occupied Palestinian land, the most recent of which is the targeting of the medical clinic in Jabalia camp, and the intentional fire that targeted the agency’s headquarters in occupied Jerusalem, in a flagrant breach of international law and related international decisions.

The spokesman pointed out that the agency is subject to a political assassination attempt aimed at the symbolism of the agency, which confirms the right of Palestinian refugees to return and compensation in accordance with international law, in a clear consideration in depriving the Palestinian people of vital rights and services approved by the international community, especially with the resumption of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and the closure of the crossings devoted to sending humanitarian aid to the sector.

He stressed the need for the international community to address Israeli decisions, and the continuous targeting of UNRWA, which plays a basic and vital role that cannot be replaced or dispensed with, and to provide the necessary political and financial support to the agency to continue to provide its vital services to Palestinian refugees according to its international assignment.
