Documenting 27 cases of rape by the fast support militia in Abu Shok camp for the displaced – the seventh day

The Supreme Committee for the Abu Shok camp administration for the displaced in the state of North Darfur revealed that it has documented rape operations for women and girls, committed by the Rapid Support militia during the past three months.

Mayor Seif El -Din Sagu, a member of the Supreme Committee for the Abu Shok camp, said that the camp administration documented 27 cases of rape of women and girls, committed by rapid support between January and March last.

He pointed out that among the victims is nine minors between the ages of 14 and 16, according to the Sudan Tribune newspaper.

Mayor Sagu revealed that the death toll reached 154 people, including 57 women, in addition to the injury of 267 others during the same period, while 75 wounded their outskirts lost as a result of the heavy and continuous bombing of the camp.

The camp is exposed daily to artillery shelling of rapid support, which led to the displacement of about 70% of its population, and the camp houses more than a million displaced people, and is located in the northern part of the city of El Fasher.
