Jordan welcomes the European Parliament voting for a 500 million euros -day assistance package – the seventh day

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs welcomed the European Parliament’s vote at its general session today, Tuesday, in Strasbourg, on the Macro-Financial Assistance/MFA, at a value of 500 million euros for Jordan.

The spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Al-Qudah, said that the European Parliament supported the aid package for Jordan with the great approval of the representatives present with 571 votes, indicating that the European Commission will present in the next stage a proposal to the additional package to Jordan worth 500 million euros, bringing the total value of the Kingdom within this framework to one billion euros for the years 2025-2027.

In a statement today, the Ambassador, in this regard, expressed Jordan’s pride and appreciation for the support provided by the European Union, which comes as a strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two sides, and in appreciation of the Kingdom’s role in seeking peace and stability in the region.

King Abdullah II and President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Line, was a martyr in Brussels, on January 29, signing the comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Jordan and the European Union, where he announced at the time of providing a package of financial aid to Jordan with a value of about 3 billion euros for the years 2025-2027, including grants of 640 million euros, supporting investments of 1.4 billion euros, in addition For a total financial aid package of one billion euros.
