7 killed and 9 others were injured, after artillery shelling for rapid support on a camp for the displaced in El Fasher – the seventh day

Rapid support militia launched artillery shelling on the Abu Shuk camp for the displaced in Al -Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State, killing 7 people and wounding 9 others.

For his part, Mayor Saif Al -Din Sagu, a member of the Supreme Committee of the Abu Shouk camp, said: “Seven people were killed and 9 others were wounded due to the heavy bombing of the Rapid Support Forces today on the Abu Shuk camp in Al -Fasher,” according to the Sudan Tribune newspaper.

He revealed that the camp of the displaced, which shelters more than a million displaced people, suffers from major challenges in the health sector, including the acute shortage of life -saving drugs, and the scarcity of medical materials such as the healing gauze and the medical cotton, in addition to the lack of a car to help the wounded, which led to the death of a number of the injured in the road.

For his part, Mona Arko Manawi, the governor of Darfur province, said that the two displaced Abu Shok camp were subjected to deliberate artillery shelling by the Rapid Support militia.

He added through his Facebook account: “What happened today in Abu Shok is a very unfortunate matter, and as a Sudanese people we must condemn this hideous human crime, the attack resulted in serious injuries between isolation citizens, which calls for all of us to stand in the face of these violations, we will not allow injustice to continue.”
