The Prime Minister of Malaysia calls for the suspension of violence in light of the escalation of attacks on Gaza – the seventh day

The Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that there is an urgent need to consider plans to stop violence as a result of the escalation of Israeli attacks on the Palestinian territories in conjunction with the celebration of Eid al -Fitr.

Anwar added – as reported by the Malaysian newspaper (Malay Mail) – that the attacks carried out by Israel since March 18 have overturned the ceasefire agreement with Hamas and thwarted the peace efforts that are being planned.

Anwar stressed – during a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan – that there is an urgent need to develop other plans to stop the violence.

For his part, Erdogan repeated his steadfast stance to the platform of solidarity with the Palestinians.
