The Sudan Doctors ’Network revealed that 9 people were killed and 32 others were injured as a result of the deliberate artillery shelling of the rapid support militia in the cities of El Fasher and Al -Abyad, the country on the evening of the first day of Eid Al -Fitr.
In an official statement, the Sudan Doctors Network condemned the deliberate artillery shelling of the city of Al -Abyad, North Kordofan, which caused amputation of hands and legs of 8 children and another death, while the killing of 8 citizens in Al -Fasher, North Darfur, and the injury of 15 others.
The network emphasized that this shelling represents a clear infringement of all international laws that prohibit the targeting of citizens ’gatherings and their homes and criminalizing their targeting.
The network called on the international community and the international organizations to pressure the militia of rapid support to stop the killings it practiced against defenseless civilians and to stop the targeting of citizens in the largest states of Sudan in order to receive the displaced and stop the new displacement operations for civilians.
