The United Nations for Human Rights warns of the forced displacement of the people of Gaza – the seventh day

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights expressed its deep concern about the orders of forced displacement by the Israeli occupation forces. The United Nations stressed that the Israeli evacuations do not correspond to the requirements of international humanitarian law

The UNHCR spokesman said that the Israeli occupation army issued 10 compulsory “evacuation orders” that include large areas in all governorates of the Gaza Strip since the resumption of its military campaign on March 18.

The UN spokesman stressed that Israel “does not take any measures to provide accommodations for the evacuated residents,” and does not guarantee that these operations take place in satisfactory conditions in terms of health, safety and nutrition.

The UN official added that the situation in the northern Gaza Strip is particularly concerned, as “it seems that more than half of it is subject to such orders.” He also pointed to reports that tens of thousands of Palestinians are trapped in Khan Yunis and Rafah.

The UN official said: “The safety of the displaced is not guaranteed. The Israeli occupation army ordered residents from west of Rafah to go to the Al -Mawasi area, which reported that it was bombed.”

Al -Khaitan emphasized that the civilians who suffered from multiple displacement as a result of these orders “face again a harsh choice between displacement again or staying, risking their lives and the lives of their loved ones.”
