The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted a meeting in Jeddah in the presence of Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Defense, between the Syrian Minister of Defense, Major General Muhtaf Abu Qasra, the Lebanese Defense Minister, Major General Michel Mansi, and the security delegations accompanying them, according to “SPA”.
During the meeting, issues of common concern between Syria and Lebanon were discussed in a way that enhances security and stability between them, and an agreement was signed during which the two sides emphasized the strategic importance of the demarcation of the borders between the two countries, the formation of legal and specialized committees between them in a number of fields, and to activate coordination mechanisms between the two sides to deal with security and military challenges, especially while the borders may occur between them, and it was also agreed to hold a follow -up meeting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the coming period.

On the other hand, the Minister of Defense in Syria and Lebanon expressed their thanks to the leadership of Saudi Arabia and the Minister of Defense for the sponsorship of the Kingdom and its hosting of the meeting, and expressed their satisfaction with what was reached, and the Kingdom affirms its full support for everything that achieves the security and stability of the two brotherly countries in a way that contributes to maintaining security and stability in the region.
