France announced, on Thursday, that French President Emmanuel Macron, who receives Friday in Paris, his Lebanese counterpart, Joseph Aoun, will also hold a “triple meeting” with him and the Syrian president of the transitional stage, Ahmed Al -Shara, who will join them “after”, according to Sky News.

“It will be an occasion for the three presidents to discuss the issue of security on the Syrian -Lebanese border,” the French presidency told reporters, as “tensions have led to confrontations”, stressing the work to “restore Lebanon’s sovereignty as well as Syria.”
“Lebanon and Syria face common problems, especially smuggling operations, and the heads of state will work together to propose elements to face these challenges,” said the French president.
Macron will hold a bilateral phone conversation with Ahmed Al -Shara, during which his upcoming visit to France will be discussed.
The Sharia had received an invitation from Macron to visit France, after assuming the presidency last February.
A Syrian statement said that Macron congratulated the Sharia on his assumption of the presidency and “liberating the country with Syrian efforts from the Assad regime”, and the French President expressed his full support for the transitional stage in Syria.
Macron emphasized the support of the political process in Syria, the country’s unity, independence and territory.
