The Lebanese Cabinet appointed Karim Saeed, governor of the Bank of Lebanon – the seventh day

The National Media Agency in Lebanon reported that the Lebanese Cabinet decided, today, Thursday, to appoint “Karim Saeed” as ruler of the Bank of Lebanon.

And “Saeed” – born in Qurtuba in 1964 – has extensive experience in the financial and legal field over the past years, as he is a member of the Bar Association in New York State since 1989, and he also studied bank law and received his academic education at Harvard Law College, and his name was associated with what was known as Harvard’s “Harvard” plan to solve the economic crisis in Lebanon.

“Saeed” had held the position of a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Bank and Lebanon, in addition to assuming the position of Director General of Investment Banking Services at the HSBC Middle East from 2000 to 2006 .. He is also a founder and administrative partner at the “Gate Ecuette Partners” company in the Emirates.

In 2023, “Saeed” launched a study on the recovery of the Lebanese financial and banking system, led by Professor Ricardo Hosman at Kennedy College for Harvard University.
And Karim Saeed, the brother of the former Lebanese deputy, Faris Saeed, who is married and has three children.
