The arrest of the former Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmed Badr al -Din Hassoun – the seventh day

The Mufti of the former regime in Syria was arrested by Ahmed Badr al -Din Hassoun while he intended to leave Syria through the airport. Hassoun’s arrest came during his attempt to go out to Jordan through Damascus airport for surgery in Amman.

Ahmed Badr al -Din Muhammad Hassoun was born on April 25, 1949 in the Syrian city of Aleppo, the largest city in northern Syria and the economic capital of Syria.

After the death of the Grand Mufti of Syria, Ahmed Kftaro Ain Hassoun, a general Mufti, to succeed him in 2005.

Hassoun was known throughout his assumption of the position of the Grand Mufti of the Republic for his pro -Syrian regime and Assad stances and his exploitation of religious occasions to support him.
