The permanent representative of Algeria to the United Nations in Geneva, Rashid Rashid, condemned during the general debate in the framework of the seventh item of the Human Rights Council’s schedule, that Israel violated the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The representative of Algeria stressed, “The importance of preserving the seventh item in the agenda of the council in light of the continued colonialism and the systematic violation of the human rights of the Palestinian people by the occupying power and its continuous humanitarian suffering for nearly eight decades.”

Rashid Ladhan said, “Any retreat from this item will contribute to the consolidation of the impunity and undermining the effectiveness and credibility of the mechanisms of international law.”

He explained that “Algeria strongly condemned the violation of the existing force of the occupation of the shooting agreement and the renewed aggression on the Gaza Strip, which left hundreds of dead, wounded, policies, repressive, discriminatory and settlement practices that aim to liquidate the Palestinian issue, such as blockade, starvation, destruction, ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, collective punishment and the annexation of Palestinian territories.”

He denounced attempts to “Judaize East Jerusalem and make demographic changes aimed at consolidating the apartheid system.”

He stressed that “Algeria denounces the flagrant violations of international law in its various branches and demands an immediate end to the aggression on the Gaza Strip and the illegal Israeli presence in the Palestinian territories and the reparation of harm, according to the consultative opinion of the International Court of Justice and the decision of the General Assembly in this regard.”

Algeria, according to the speech of its representative in Geneva, calls on the international community again to assume “all its legal responsibilities, implement the views and orders of the International Court of Justice and United Nations regulations, and activate the tools of accountability and accountability against the occupied Israeli entity.”

It also calls on the same society to “provide political, financial and material support necessary for the reconstruction of Gaza and make it a placeable place to live again after the destruction and ruin caused by the brutal aggression.”

Algeria stresses that “every plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip must ensure that the Palestinians remain in their lands and the return of the displaced.”

The permanent representative of Algeria to the United Nations in Geneva reaffirmed that “the only solution to achieving permanent, comprehensive and fair peace is to end the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and all occupied Arab lands, and the Palestinian people exercise their inactive right or assignment in determining their fate and establishing an independent, fully sovereign state on the borders of 1967 and its capital, Al -Quds Al -Sharif and solving the refugee problem in accordance with the decisions of international legitimacy.”
