Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Berry stressed that the country is fighting a decisive battle against youth militias and terrorist ISIS that oppose peace and development, noting that the battle against terrorists continues until their elimination.
“Our plan is not limited to the expulsion of terrorists from our lands, but also extends to the elimination of them completely, because Somalia will not achieve its desired progress as long as they are a threat in the region, so it is necessary that we all unite in their confrontation,” said Berri, according to the Somali News Agency, “Sauna”, on Wednesday.
In a related context, the Somali Armed Forces, in cooperation with the US military leadership in Africa (AFRICOM), carried out a qualitative military operation targeting terrorist elements of ISIS in the Gaulus Heights in the Berri region, affiliated with the state of Buntland.
