Jordan Foreign Minister stresses the need to intensify efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza – the seventh day

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Jordan Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Al -Safadi, stressed the need to join efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza immediately, and the commitment to a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, and open the crossings to send humanitarian aid to various parts of the sector.

This came during the reception of Al -Safadi today, Wednesday, German Interior Minister Nancy February, and the Austrian Minister of Interior, Gerhard Karener, according to the statement of the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance relations between Jordan and both Germany and Austria bilateral, and within the framework of the strategic partnership with the European Union, in addition to joint coordination with the developments in the region.

The meeting touched on the developments of the situation in Syria, and it was emphasized the need to support the Syrian people in rebuilding their homeland through a Syrian-Syrian political process on the foundations that guarantee the unity, security, stability, and sovereignty of Syria, and dispose of terrorism, and preserve all Syrians’ rights.

Al -Safadi stressed the need to continue to support the refugees, the organizations concerned with them and the host countries, in conjunction with the intense work to create the environment that allows their voluntary return to their country.

For their part, Festal and Karnner valued the role of Jordan and its efforts led by King Abdullah II to achieve security, stability and peace in the region.
