Spain Foreign Minister: Trading exchanges with Morocco have reached nearly 25 billion euros – the seventh day

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Spanish Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albaris, confirmed today, Tuesday, Madrid, that Morocco and Spain have created during the past three years the best climate for cooperation ever in the history of their bilateral relations.

“The joint advertisement that was adopted in 2022, after the talks that took place between the Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI, and the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, created the best climate for cooperation and synergy ever in the history of relations between the two countries,” Albaris said before the Spanish Senate.

The Spanish official pointed out, in this regard, that trade exchanges with Morocco have reached a historic level, approximately 25 billion euros, which confirms the strength and integration of economic and commercial relations between the two countries, explaining that more than 15 thousand Spanish companies are issued regularly to Morocco, while there are 660 other stable companies on Moroccan soil, which reflects the confidence and attractiveness of the Moroccan economic environment.

As he touched on the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will jointly organize with Spain and Portugal, Albaris said that this global event represents a historical opportunity to enhance the bonds of friendship and strategic partnership between Rabat and Madrid more than ever.
On the other hand, the Spanish minister praised the effective cooperation with Morocco in the field of immigration, stressing that irregular immigration cannot be addressed without the support of the Kingdom of Morocco.
