A statement issued by the municipality of “Clasalbono” today, Tuesday, said that the community in Castlepono is angry at the genocide committed in Gaza against the Palestinian people, and the mayor, Mario Chichero, made an appeal to the population, calling on its citizens to take a tangible solidarity gesture to boycott Israeli products, as an expression of peaceful protest against violence and human rights violations that the Gaza residents suffer.
The call – which was published on the official website of the municipality – carried the Israeli flag with the phrases of “boycott”, “resentment of the genocide committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip”, “to boycott Israeli products to promote peace and justice.”
