A UNIFIL spokesman added – in a special statement to the “Cairo News” channel – that there is a need to adhere to the two sides of Lebanon and Israel in order to restore stability in the region, pointing out that Israel should withdraw from the points that the forces are deploying.

UNIFIL spokesman explained that UNIFIL is doing everything he could to ensure the continuation of talks with the United States and other parties involved in the status quo, expressing his hope to help the Lebanese army in southern Lebanon.
UNIFIL spokesman confirmed that negotiations are continuing to restore stability to the region, pointing out that what happened is not justified to restore military operations.
The spokesman called on all parties, whether the Lebanese or Israeli side, to work on restraint.
