The Ministry stated – in a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency (conscious) – that “on the eighties of the founding of the League of Arab States, Iraq, as one of the institutions, affirms its commitment to the university’s principles and support its efforts in promoting Arab solidarity and defending fair issues, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue,” praising the important role played by the university in light of regional and international challenges.
The Ministry called for the development of the mechanisms of joint Arab action and the enhancement of economic and social integration, in a way that enhances the position of the Arab nation and achieves the aspirations of its people, confirming its aspiration to a more cooperative future among the Arab countries, pointing out that Iraq is ready to contribute effectively to achieving the university’s goals and consolidating joint Arab action.
