UNRWA expresses its dismay for the dangerous escalation and targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip – the seventh day

The director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Sam Rose, said that the situation in the Gaza Strip is very worrying, noting that the bombing of the Strip continued for several days in a row, expressing the deep dismay of the United Nations regarding the ongoing targeting operations, killing hundreds of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

The director of UNRWA operations said that, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, he killed 600 people, including about 200 women and children, and the UN official confirmed that the supplies have not entered Gaza since the beginning of March, that is, about 20 days ago, and this is the longest period since the conflict began in October 2023.

“If the ceasefire is not resumed, this means heavy loss of life, the destruction of infrastructure and property, and an increase in the risk of infectious diseases, and huge psychological trauma, for one million children and two million civilians living in Gaza,” the UN official added.

Rose estimated that a million people would be deprived of food classes in March, when they would reach only one million people instead of two million, adding that six out of 25 baked the World Food Program supported it already had to close.
