Aoun considered – in a statement reported by the Lebanese Media Agency – that “what happened today in the south, and what has been going on there since February 18, is a lack of commitment to the craftsmanship of the ceasefire agreement, constitutes an anti -Lebanon attack on Lebanon, and to strike the project of its rescue, which the Lebanese unanimously agreed.”

He appealed to all the friends of Lebanon to pay attention to what is being hatched against him from more than one hostile party, and he also called on the forces concerned in all southern Lebanon, especially the monitoring committee emanating from the November 2024 agreement, and the army to follow up on what is happening in a maximum seriousness to avoid any repercussions and control any breach or attribute that can threaten the country in these precise circumstances.
The Lebanese President asked the commander of the army, General Rudolph Haykal, to take the necessary field measures to maintain the safety of citizens, and to investigate the circumstances of what happened, and called on all those responsible for developments to be in the position of keenness on Lebanon first and foremost.
