Great Humanitarian Coordinator: We condemn the state of collective death imposed on the Palestinians – the seventh day

Sigrid Kakh, the chief humanitarian and reconstruction coordinator in Gaza, condemned the state of “collective death” that the Palestinian people suffer from as a result of the continuous escalation in the Gaza Strip.

During her speech at the Security Council session, which is transmitted by the “Extra News” channel, she emphasized that the humanitarian situation in the sector has become unbearable, warning of the dire consequences of the continuation of these conditions.

She also praised the efforts of Egypt, Qatar and the United States in the negotiations aimed at the ceasefire in Gaza, noting that these efforts contributed to alleviating violence and contributed to providing some opportunities to calm.

In a related context, the chief humanitarian coordinator affirmed the invitation of the Secretary -General of the United Nations to resume serious and effective ceasefire negotiations, and stressed the need to ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid to Gaza without obstacle, noting that the humanitarian situation is getting more difficult with the increasing siege and restrictions on the entry of vital supplies.

It called on the international community to double its efforts to support the Palestinian people in its ordeal, stressing the importance of working to achieve a permanent ceasefire and provide a favorable environment to resume peace negotiations and search for peaceful solutions to the crisis.
