The Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, expressed his condemnation of the blatant terrorist attack that attempted to target the procession of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud by an attack by the terrorist “youth” movement in the capital, Mogadishu.
Jamal Rushdie, a spokesman for the Secretary -General, said that Aboul Gheit expressed his strong condemnation and condemnation of the terrorist attack, stressing the full support of the Arab League and its solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia in the face of terrorism and all forms of extremism.
The spokesperson added that the Secretary -General called for the concerted international efforts to eradicate terrorism from its roots and dry the sources of its financing.
