Somalia Foreign Minister and Serbia are looking to strengthen bilateral relations – the seventh day

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Somali Federal Government, Ambassador Ahmed Muallem Faqi, discussed in a telephone conversation with his Serbian counterpart Marco Doric, ways to enhance relations between the two countries.

In a statement reported by the Somali News Agency today, the two ministers affirmed the depth of bilateral relations that extend for more than 65 years, stressing the importance of continuing cooperation in various fields.

The Somali Foreign Minister pointed to the country’s commitment to developing the partnership between Mogadishu and Belgrade, adding that the relations between the two countries will witness more progress during the next stage.

For his part, the Serbian Foreign Minister stressed that his country considers Somalia a strategic partner, and is seeking to enhance joint cooperation.

The two sides agreed to exchange official visits during the coming period, with the aim of exploring opportunities for cooperation in the economy, security, and technology, in order to achieve the common interests of the two countries.
