The United Nations Organization considered that the forced displacement of the Palestinians in the West Bank amounts to the level of war crimes. For its part, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Volcker Turk Israel called for an end to these measures.

The United Nations added that 49 additional settlements were established in the rest of the West Bank, and it is expected to establish more than 10,000 housing units. The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volcker Turk, said, “The transfer of Israel to some of its civilian residents to its lands is a war crime,” and urged the international community to take effective measures regarding Israel’s settlement actions.
He added: “Israel must immediately and completely stop all settlement activities, to evacuate all settlers, and to stop forced transportation of the Palestinian population, and prevent and punish the attacks of its security forces and its settlers.”
