The Lebanese Ministry of Defense announced “an agreement between the Lebanese Defense Ministers and Syria to a ceasefire and communication between the intelligence of the two countries.”
The Lebanese army said, in a statement, that “the Minister of National Defense, Major General Michel Mansi, contacted his Syrian counterpart, Muhtaf Abu Qasra, and discussed developments on the Lebanese -Syrian border.”
The statement added that “the ceasefire was agreed between the two sides, provided that the communication between the Intelligence Directorate in the Lebanese Army and the Syrian intelligence continued to prevent the deterioration of the situation on the border between the two countries in order to avoid the fall of innocent civilian victims.”
