The lawsuit – filed before the US District Court of the northern region of New York – is seeking to issue a temporary restriction at the country to prevent the implementation of two executives signed by US President Donald Trump in the first month of his second term earlier this year.

The lawsuit was held on behalf of graduate students and professor at Cornell University in New York, who say that their activities and support for the Palestinian people “exposed them to the danger of political persecution.”

The committee stated that the struggle for Palestine is a struggle for all the rights guaranteed to the Americans under the first amendment.
This lawsuit comes after the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, a 30 -year -old student at the University of Colombia and the permanent resident of the United States of Palestinian origin, whose arrest sparked protests this month.
