Russian official: Send European forces to Ukraine “trick” – the seventh day

The co -chair of the new Russian regions Coordination Council, Vladimir Roger, said today, Sunday, that the statement issued by Britain and the European Union countries regarding the transition to the “operational stage” to send the forces of the coalition wishing to Ukraine is a “trick”.

Roger said- in statements reported by the Russian (TASS) news agency- that he believed this is a trick because it is conditional on obtaining security guarantees from the United States, indicating that the introduction of units from third countries into Ukraine will be illegal and contradicts the security interests and establish a long-term peace.

He pointed out that he believes that the emergence of British, German, French forces and other foreign forces will make it a priority goal for the Russian army, as it cannot have any legal mandate that allows them to perform operations in this region.

British Prime Minister Kiir Starmer said yesterday, Saturday, after the conclusion of a virtual summit on Ukraine, that the countries that participated in the summit and a number of other countries have taken it upon themselves “specific obligations”, noting that he is considering obtaining security guarantees from the United States to this important military unit.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said earlier that Russia will not accept the presence of any NATO forces (NATO) in the Ukrainian territories under any circumstance, stressing that this pose a threat to Russia.
