Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun stressed that the normal life cannot return to the affected areas without implementing international decisions that guarantee Lebanon’s sovereignty, security and stability, the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from Lebanon and the return of the prisoners to their homeland.
Aoun pointed out – in a speech at the Dar Al -Fatwa breakfast ceremony, today, Saturday, according to the National Media Agency in Lebanon – to fulfill the international community with its guarantees and pledges, embody its supportive stances of the state and put it into practice.

He said that the issue of implementing Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement is a pivotal issue that calls for the state’s interest, stressing that Lebanon cannot settle and flourish in light of the continued tension on its southern borders.
