Syrian media reported the killing of 3 and the injury of 12 others as a result of the explosion in a building in the southern Raml neighborhood in Lattakia Governorate.

The Syrian Civil Defense announced today, Saturday, that the explosion that shook the populated southern Raml district in a city and killed 3 people, was the result of a missile explosion of war remnants.

In an initial outcome, the civil defense indicated that the explosion led to civilian casualties, with people stuck under the rubble of a four -storey building, while rescue and ambulance teams rushed to the site to start evacuation and rescue operations, according to the Syrian official news agency “SANA”.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the explosion that took place on Saturday in the city of Latakia is a “accident” resulting from warships.

The observatory explained that the explosion in Lattakia “an accident caused by a missile of war waste, exploded during its dismantling by a person working in collecting scrap at his home,” and the explosion killed at least three people.
