The Somali army announced this morning, Saturday, that it was confronting an attempt by a terrorist attack carried out by the youth militias linked to al -Qaeda, where the militias attempted to attack military sites of the armed forces in the city of “Uitaghli” in the Lower Shabili region, and in the vicinity of the “Porsha Sheikh” area in the Central Shabili region.
The military sources confirmed – according to the Somali News Agency – that the terrorists suffered heavy losses during the confrontations, as a large number of militia members were eliminated.

In a related context, the Somali National Forces carried out, last night, a precise military operation that targeted a gathering of terrorist militia militias in the “Labo Gros” area in the Central Shabili region, where the site was completely destroyed and all the elements in it were eliminated.
The Somali armed forces continue their military operations to eliminate the remnants of terrorists, and to purify the rural areas in the south and central of the country.
