Washington is investigating the Gaza war protests at the University of Colombia – the seventh day

US Deputy Minister of Justice Todd Blanche stated that the ministry is investigating whether student protests at the University of Colombia due to the Gaza war violate the federal terrorist laws.

Blanche added that the investigation is considering violations of civil rights linked to the demonstrations that rocked the campus of Columbia University in New York last year.

He also mentioned that this investigation comes within the framework of the efforts of President Donald Trump’s administration “to eliminate anti -Semitism in this country.”

He continued, “We also achieve whether the University of Colombia’s dealings with previous events have violated civil rights laws and included terrorist crimes … This is a lot of delay.”

Blanche also said that federal law enforcement carried out an inspection note yesterday, Thursday, as part of a separate investigation regarding whether the University of Colombia was housing illegal immigrants on its university campus.

The University of Colombia was a center for anti -Israel protests that invaded dozens of American universities during the past spring, and turned into a major goal for President Donald Trump’s administration, which accuses it of not dealing sufficiently with cases of anti -Semitism in the university campus and allowing the intimidation of Jewish students.

Last week, the federal government canceled grants and contracts to the University of Colombia, estimated at $ 400 million, due to what it described as anti -Semitism.
