It extends for 5 days .. Eid Al -Fitr holiday in the Emirates – the seventh day

The Eid al -Fitr holiday may extend to four or five days in the UAE, according to the vision of the crescent of the month of Shawwal in accordance with the decision of the UAE Cabinet No. (27) of 2024 regarding official holidays in the country, and the deadline for the holiday will be announced after the investigation of Al -Hilal on Saturday evening, March 29. According to “Emirates Today”.

The state depends on the official committees to monitor the crescent to determine the official date for Eid al -Fitr. Therefore, the deadline will be announced on Saturday evening, March 29, after the Crescent investigation.

According to the official holiday calendar, the Eid Al -Fitr holiday includes the first, second and third days of the month of Shawwal, but its final duration depends on the vision of the crescent, which may allow employees a long vacation, and if the blessed month of Ramadan completes 30 days, then the 30th of Ramadan will be an official holiday added to the Eid Al -Fitr holiday.

If the crescent of Shawwal is seen on Saturday evening, March 29th, the first day of Eid will be Sunday 30 March, which means that the official leave will extend from Sunday to Tuesday, and thus employees will receive a four -day vacation from Saturday to Tuesday.

But if the crescent is not seen on Saturday evening, the month of Ramadan will take place 30 days, and the first day of Eid Al -Fitr will be on Monday 31 March, which means that the official holiday will extend from Saturday to Wednesday, which gives employees a five -day vacation.

The astronomical calculations issued by the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research in Egypt indicate that the Shawwal Hilal will be born on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 1 pm Cairo time, and will remain visible after sunset in most Arab countries. This enhances the possibility that Eid al -Fitr will be on Sunday 30 March.
