Israel is launching two raids on the Bekaa in eastern Lebanon – the seventh day

Today, Thursday, Israeli warplanes launched two raids on the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon, near the border with Syria, in a new breach of the ceasefire agreement that has been in force since November 27, 2024.

Witnesses reported that the Israeli warplanes launched a raid on the heights of the town of “Qawasia” in the Zahle district, located in the mountains of the eastern chain near the Syrian border.

The witnesses added that the Israeli aviation launched another raid on an area near the border with Syria.

In turn, the National Media Agency in Lebanon reported that a series of hostile raids targeted the Groes of Qasaya and Mahala al-Sha`ra-Genta in the eastern series, without additional details.

There was no immediate information about the injuries of the raids, and the Israeli army did not announce its purpose.

Israel dismissed the completion of its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by February 18th, as stipulated in the agreement, as it implemented a partial withdrawal and continues to occupy 5 main Lebanese points.

For decades, Israel has occupied lands in Lebanon, Palestine and Syria, and refuses to withdraw from it and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the 1967 war borders.
