5 million pilgrims in the first ten days of Ramadan – the seventh day

More than 5.5 million Muslims performed the rituals of Umrah during the first ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan, according to Al -Arabiya.

The flanks of the Grand Mosque were also filled with 20 thousand Zamzam water portfolios, to meet the needs of pilgrims and worshipers, and the number of electrical vehicles reached 400 vehicles, through a unified visual identity that reflects the special character of the Grand Mosque.

On the other hand, the Kingdom’s General Authority announced that more than 3.7 million vehicles have crossed the roads leading to Makkah, during the first ten days of Ramadan.

This increase in traffic came as a result of the great demand from pilgrims and visitors to perform Umrah rituals in this holy month.

The authority explained that the crossing of vehicles was carried out in accordance with an integrated system of services provided by the authority and all relevant authorities, which include significant improvements in the infrastructure of the road network, in addition to applying the highest safety and quality standards, and the roads were wiped and valued and maintained according to the latest technologies that guarantee the safety of road users.

The authority affirmed its efforts to improve and develop the road network to meet the needs of visitors and pilgrims, while ensuring the best possible services to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all.
