Today, Wednesday, the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Hana Tité, represented by the new Secretary -General of the United Nations in Libya and the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, received at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, where the meeting witnessed an exchange of views on the latest developments in Libya.
The Minister of Jamal Rushdie, the official spokesman for the Secretary -General, said that Aboul Gheit welcomed the efforts of the United Nations Mission, stressing that the Arab League will continue to push all efforts that would meet the aspirations of the Libyan people in stability and peace in this dear Arab country.

The spokesman pointed out that Abu Al -Ghait discussed with Titi to work to activate international cooperation regarding the situation in Libya, including by revitalizing the work of the quadruple group that includes (the League of Arab States, the United Nations, the African Union, and the European Union).
He also listened to the proposal of the international pollution on the developments of the situation in Libya, as it stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the Arab League to support the return of the Libyan parties to resume a constructive dialogue between them.
