The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has warned against the sharp shortage of medical supplies in North Darfur state, Sudan. According to the United Nations Media Center, the UN Office confirmed that the ongoing hostile works have caused waves of displacement, which led to the already fatigue of the fragile health care system, which is struggling to meet even the basic needs of people, warning that more than 200 health facilities in El Fasher do not work, and that there is a severe shortage of medical employees, basic drugs and life -saving supplies.

The OCHA office said that the humanitarian partners are trying to provide medical supplies, but their efforts to provide them are still suspended due to insecurity and arrival restrictions.
The World Health Organization stated that in the various areas affected by the conflict in Sudan, more than 70 percent of hospitals and health facilities no longer work, leaving millions without health care.
The OCHA office again called for ensuring safe, sustainable and timely human access to reach people in need of life -saving support, stressing the need to protect civilians and meet the basic needs of their survival.
