Israeli -Lebanese talks under American auspices to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries – the seventh day

The Middle East envoy to the Middle East, Murjen Ortegas, confirmed that the United States will bring Lebanon and Israel in talks to resolve several issues pending between the two countries diplomatically.

“These issues are the release of Lebanese prisoners and the remaining contentious points on the blue line, in addition to the five Israeli sites that Israel has kept its control in Lebanon,” Ortegas said, in a statement broadcast by the American “Al -Hurra” channel on Tuesday.

She added that the military talks concluded in Naqoura and five Lebanese prisoners were released by Israel and returned to Lebanon, stressing that all the concerned parties remain committed to maintaining the ceasefire agreement and applying all its conditions completely.

“We look forward to holding work groups that diplomats quickly head to solve outstanding issues alongside our international partners,” Ortegas added.
