This came in a joint statement issued by the United States, France and UNIFIL embassies, after the sixth meeting of the Committee for the Implementation of Municipal Acts today, in Naqoura, where UNIFIL hosted the meeting headed by the United States, and joined by France, the Lebanese army and the Israeli army.

The statement – broadcast by the National Media Agency in Lebanon – indicated that the meeting discussed ways to move forward in the full implementation of the Security Council Resolution 1701, the full implementation of the agreement to stop hostilities concluded on November 26, 2024, and the following steps to address the outstanding issues between Israel and Lebanon.
