Governor of the Iraqi Central Bank: We have one of the highest Arab gold reserves – the seventh day

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Al -Alaq, confirmed today, Tuesday, that Iraq has one of the highest gold reserves at the level of Arab countries by 162 tons.

The Iraqi News Agency quoted Al -Alaq as saying that “the central bank is constantly following the movement of gold and currencies, and part of the diversification to ward off any risks that we have a percentage of gold reserves, especially in recent years, there have been continuous purchases.”

He added: “Today Iraq has 162 tons of gold, and it is one of the highest reserves at the Arab level, and we are the fourth country in the size of the reserves that we have of gold.”
