In a statement issued by the Italian Foreign Ministry, Taiani stressed that he published on his official account in the platform (X), the need to protect civilians from any violence, and respect Syria’s stability and territorial integrity.

He added that the Italian embassy in Damascus is in contact with the Italian community in Syria.
